Cellist and teacher Danielle Merlis created "The Cello Camp" to share her passion for playing the cello with young musicians. Participants will improve their cello technique and music reading skills, and they will also experience a unique cello ensemble that will combine classical training with a contemporary approach. The 2019 program will run August 19-August 24 from 10am-3pm daily, with a typical day including group lessons, ensemble rehearsals, music skill building activities and a one hour lunch break. The final day will feature a Saturday evening concert performed for family and friends, and will include guest performers who will collaborate with the young cellists in a spirited program that is not to be missed!
The program is open to all beginner and intermediate level cellists entering grades 4-10 in the fall of 2019.
